Atlas Backups can restore a page to a saved version, restore a space over the existing space or into a new private space, and recover automation rules as disabled copies.

Find a page

Restore a single page

  1. Find the page in the page tree or with search (Find a page).
  2. Select Restore this version under the saved version you want.
  3. Review the preview. Nothing is written until you confirm.
  4. Confirm the restore. When it finishes, Restore complete lists the outcome for each part of the page and the new version number in Confluence.

In the Confluence page history, the new version’s author is the account Atlas Backups uses. The version’s comment records the backed-up version it came from and the person who started the restore.

Restore a whole space

Restore a damaged space over the existing space or copy it into a new private space. The copy includes backed-up pages in parent order, with their files, labels and comments, and checks each page’s access as it restores.

The new space is private to the connected account, and the restored pages sit under its homepage. Nobody else sees them until they are shared.

Restore an automation rule

Restore a global or space automation rule as a disabled copy beside the live rule. The live rule stays unchanged while an admin reviews the copy before enabling it.

Undo a restore

  1. Select History, then Restores. The newest restores are listed with their time, product and item.
  2. Open the restore and select Undo this restore.

The undo puts the page body back to the text it had right before the restore. Right after a restore, Undo this restore on the Restore complete page does the same.
